Captus Systems at InfoComm 2025: Immersed in Innovation

From June 7 to 13, 2025, the Captus Systems team proudly joined thousands of AV professionals at InfoComm 2025, the premier global event for the audiovisual and integrated experience industry. Held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, this year’s event was a convergence of technology, innovation, and collaboration — bringing together the best minds in commercial AV, IT systems, and broadcast engineering.

As a leading AV integrator based in the metro New York City area, Captus Systems leveraged the event to strengthen vendor relationships, gather insights on emerging tech, and explore the future of smart building AV solutions, hybrid meeting platforms, and intelligent room automation. InfoComm 2025 wasn’t just a conference  – it was a full-on immersion into what’s next in the world of enterprise audiovisual systems.

A Global Gathering That Defines the AV Industry

Produced by AVIXA, InfoComm 2025 hosted 30,998 verified attendees from 97 countries, with 18% international participation and a record-breaking 35% end-user presence.

The show featured 817 exhibitors across more than 400,000 square feet of space. From interactive LED displays and AI-driven cameras to control systems and broadcast solutions, the floor was a playground for anyone working in AV.

Our Featured AV Partner Solutions

  • Neat – Neat Bar Pro Neat Frame, Neat Center native Zoom/Teams video endpoints  – Elevating Hybrid Equity
    • Neat continues to innovate for hybrid collaboration with its unique combination of Neat Bar Pro and the Neat Center. While the Neat Bar Pro delivers high-quality video and audio from the front of the room, the Neat Center — a compact tabletop camera — adds a second perspective from the conference table itself. This dual-camera setup ensures that remote participants see more than just the backs of heads; they get eye-level views of active speakers, gestures, and natural body language.

Together, these devices provide intelligent video switching, dynamic auto-framing, and adaptive audio capture, powered by Neat’s advanced AI. The setup integrates natively with Zoom and Microsoft Teams, requiring no third-party drivers or complex installations. The Neat Center pairs wirelessly with the Bar Pro and adjusts its framing automatically based on who is speaking, turning traditional rooms into inclusive, next-gen collaboration hubs.
  • Yealink – Flexible, Feature-Rich Video Collaboration
    • Flexible, Feature-Rich Video Collaboration
Yealink continues to grow as a favorite among mid-market and enterprise clients. Its MeetingBar A30 and MeetingBar A20 series deliver powerful, all-in-one video conferencing performance — with dual 4K cameras, AI noise cancellation, and plug-and-play functionality for Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet.
    • For larger rooms, Yealink’s MVC series offers modular AV solutions with PTZ cameras and touch panels, while room scheduling panels (with LED status indicators) simplify room availability and booking. Their affordability and broad platform compatibility make Yealink ideal for clients balancing high performance with cost-effectiveness.
  • Appspace – More Than Signage: A Full Workplace Experience Platform
    • Appspace has evolved beyond digital signage — now delivering a full Workplace Experience Platform (WXP). It unifies digital signage, room scheduling, visitor management, employee communications, and more into a single interface.
    • Used across enterprise and education verticals, Appspace integrates with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Zoom Rooms, and platforms like Crestron and Cisco. With dynamic templates, content approval workflows, and analytics, it supports hybrid work by making every screen  —  from kiosks to mobile phones  —  a connected part of the workplace. Appspace helps organizations deliver culture and communication at scale.

These innovations and others are directly influencing how Captus Systems designs AV environments. They reflect our core values: user-centric functionality, elegant system design, and long-term reliability.

Best of Show Awards: Innovation That Inspires

The Best of Show Awards are more than just recognition — they highlight technology that is setting the direction for AV integration in 2025 and beyond. These products stood out not only for their features, but also for how they address the real-world needs of hybrid collaboration, flexibility, and user experience:

It also includes Barco’s enterprise-grade security and smart meeting analytics, giving IT teams control and users seamless wireless sharing from any device.
  • Crestron Automate VX: Leveraging a multi-camera intelligent video switching system, Automate VX uses voice detection, facial recognition, and positional audio cues to automatically adjust camera angles. The result is a highly polished hybrid meeting experience that mimics the in-room presence and ensures equitable visibility for both in-person and remote participants.
  • Epson PowerLite L795SE: This projector boasts 7,000 lumens of color and white brightness, 4K enhancement, and up to 20,000 hours of maintenance-free operation thanks to its laser light source. Emerging AV Trends to Watch in 2025 and Beyond

We are already implementing innovations seen at InfoComm:

  • Workplace Experience Platforms – Appspace-powered workflows for hybrid teams
  • Sustainable Design – Energy-saving displays and smart automation
  • AI in AV – Voice control, real-time transcription, auto framing for hybrid meetings
  • AV over IP – Networked video routing for massive scalability

Workplace Experience Platforms

Solutions like Appspace are powering digital signage, room booking, and internal communications — across devices and platforms. Their growing integration with Microsoft Teams and Google Workspace makes them a flexible choice for hybrid-first enterprises.

Sustainable System Design

Manufacturers like LG and Panasonic showcased energy-efficient commercial displays, reduced standby power, and longer-lasting LED light engines. It’s a move toward greener AV that meets both ESG targets and long-term ROI.

AI in AV

Artificial Intelligence was everywhere. Cisco’s Room Kit EQ and Crestron Automate VX both use AI to enhance meeting equity — auto-framing speakers, filtering noise, and adjusting camera angles in real time. One Beyond’s intelligent camera tracking also adds studio-quality video presence to standard conference rooms.

AV over IP

Networked AV solutions are no longer optional, they’re essential. We saw strong support across platforms, including Lightware’s Taurus UCX, which offers USB-C and HDMI signal routing over the network with EDID management and fast switching. These technologies ensure consistent content delivery across rooms, floors, or even campuses — ideal for higher education, financial institutions, and broadcast control rooms.

InfoComm 2025 solidified key industry trends that are reshaping how organizations approach communication, workplace design, and user engagement. These are not just buzzwords — they’re technologies we are actively integrating into our strategies.

Post-Show Reflections:

InfoComm continues to invigorate our passion for the work we all do. As our CEO Gerald Abualy puts it:

“We are building the future, every single day, where the network is the backbone that provides the results to the people that don’t even know it’s there. What we deliver in 2025 will likely still be providing a demonstrable ROI in 2035 and beyond.”

We left Orlando with inspiration, direction, and new tools to elevate our AV strategies throughout the Metro New York and beyond for corporate, education, and nonprofit sectors.
